Jay Ferro is an innovative global technology leader who works with diverse global corporations to accelerate growth, improve profitability, and achieve exceptional operational results. Jay possesses an unwavering commitment to excellence with highly effective planning, organizational development, continuous improvement and communication skills.

Jay has spent the last 2 years working as interim leader with multiple organizations in the private equity and M&A space. Most recently, Jay was Chief Customer Officer for Rackspace, Inc, a global managed hosting and cloud provider. Prior to Rackspace, Jay was Chief Information & Chief Technology Officer for TransPerfect, a global translation services organization; EVP, CITO for ExamWorks, a leading global provider of independent medical examinations & medical record retrieval, and EVP, Chief Information & Product Officer for EarthLink (now Windstream), an organization that helped thousands of customers securely establish critical connections in the cloud, keeping businesses and residents online, out-front and informed.

From 2012-2016, Jay was Global Chief Information Officer for the American Cancer Society (ACS), a worldwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Jay led ACS’s historic digital transformation, as well as the consolidation of 12 independent companies into one global entity.

Jay spent the previous eight years at American International Group (AIG), most recently as VP and CIO for AIG Aerospace, a worldwide aerospace insurer. Jay also served as CFO for AIG Operations and Systems, leading multiple global financial synergy initiatives. Jay is internationally recognized and is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer around the world.

He has been featured in multiple publications, including Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review and CIO Magazine. Most recently, Jay was highlighted in the book Digital Transformation (Herbert, L, 2017). Ferro is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2015. In recognition of his accomplishments, Jay was selected as Georgia CIO of the Year in both 2011 and 2015, Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader in 2015, CIO Magazine CIO 100 in 2015 and Global CIO Breakaway Leader in 2013.

His commitment and dedication to giving back to the community is evidenced by the time and energy he contributes. In 2007, he founded the nonprofit group, Priscilla’s Promise, in honor of his late wife. Jay has been elected to multiple boards, including TechBridge, PowerMyLearning, and the American Cancer Society.

Jay earned both his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and his Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Georgia and remains active with his alma mater.

Jay lives in Atlanta with his three sons: Trey, Connor and Alex.
